Laundry

Lilly really wants to help do everything these days. Even the laundry. She has her very own special way of helping...I put things into the dryer, she takes things out.
After the sheets were dry, she insisted on helping me "fold" the sheets. Each thing i would fold she would stand up and pull off the couch. By the time she had helped me "fold" all this she was squealing with delight. Needless to say she was so very proud of herself.

B-E-A-U-TIFUL day

It was such a gorgeous day Lilly and I decided to venture out to the park. When we first moved here we went to this same park... in fact I believe it was our first blog! It is amazing to see the extreme differences between the 2 visits. Lilly absolutely loved the swing and was laughing and singing, she did not want to get out. The Slide was a success as well she would get down to the bottom and get very excited and she would start tapping the side of the slide...i am guessing it is her special way of clapping and saying again mommy again. :-) we had a great day on our walk and at the park... thank you God for such beautiful days.

Crinkle crinkle

I was in the kitchen on the phone and Ziff was on the computer. I look around to make sure Lilly is alright and she is not in the living room any more... she has ventured over to the bathroom to discover daddy's pile of newspaper from earlier in the morning and she decided she needed to catch up on her local happenings. She was trying to decide which section tasted the best. She would pick one up flip through it and then lick it, but if it wasn't to her tasting, she would toss it aside and go for the next. Ziff and I were both laughing so hard. She is so full of personality... I love it!!!

Remembering

Though Oklahoma is a terrible place to live and i would never wish anyone to have to go there, there is one thing there that keeps me going back. My mom was buried there after passing away in April of 1991. We left Oklahoma in the summer of 1991 and moved to Seattle and I have never been back since... in fact this was my first time at the grave site. Thankfully Ziff and Lilly were there with me and it was their first time as well. It was a hard day but it was well needed. It gave Ziff and I a sense a relief having been there for ourselves and being able just be there with her memory alive and well. Lilly was talking to her grandma as though she was there and who knows maybe she was there with us, cause Lilly was talking to someone and she wasn't looking at Ziff or i she was looking at grandma. We will always remember the amazing woman that gave me life and then gave her life for me.
