Cookie monster

Starting to mix everything together

Time to roll out the dough

Deciding which shape to use is serious business

Of course you've got to frost them which also is serious business

After the cookies were all done we got dressed up in our costume and took some cookies over to share with our friends :-)

Since we weren't taking Lilly out on halloween night I decided it might be fun to bake some special halloween cookies instead. After she woke up from naptime we started in on the fun and I was a little unsure of how involved she would want to be and if she would even get what we were doing and to my surprise she understood and she was really excited to help. She even wore her "apron" like mommy for a while and she tried to get me to let her friends bunny and Lucy help but I convinced her to let them watch us from the counter. She didn't help the whole time she would help for a little while run off and play come back help some more and then run off and play. But it was SO much fun and I definitely think we'll do it again!

Trick or Treat

October has been a crazy busy month. There have been so many fun things going on and lots of festivities for Halloween. I wasn't planning on taking Lilly out on halloween night simply because Ziff worked late and I felt uncomfortable going door to door on my own since we don't know many of our neighbors, But in Old town they do a special event the day before halloween in the late morning where all the shopkeepers stood outside of their stores with candy so the kiddos could go door to door. I was a bit on the chilly side but Lilly was really enjoying all of her treats that she was getting.

Group shot of our playgroup. We all met up and walked around together and then had some lunch. (Stacey and Lauren missed us)
